Sal Nunez
39 years of progressive experience escalating responsibilities in the international operations of Fortune 500 companies such as Bristol-Myers, Avon, Sara Lee and P&G; including consulting jobs for Bank of Tokyo, Brooks Automation, Caterpillar, IBM, Invensys, Johnson&Johnson and Mary Kay. His 2-year assignments have taken him to live and work as an Operations Director in Brazil, China, 4 American States and 3 Mexican cities. One of his unique abilities is to hire talented locals for every function, gradually erect an efficient organization, mentoring professionals to excel and work as a team while developing a new culture based on performance, ethics, and respect at all levels. Sal has a B.S. in Chemistry from Syracuse University.
Georgina Corona
33 years of experience; half of this period as an employee of international advertising (Grey, Lintas, TBWA) where she performed as Account Director for clients such as Beiersdorf, Casio, Henkel, Effem-Mars, Panasonic, P&G, Tequila Cuervo and UNICEF. In 1990 she became a founding member of Cosmex in Mexico City but works now in Monterrey as the main contact with our clients: gathering intelligence, leading the establishment of all of the administrative, tax and legal requirements to launch a new company in just a few weeks. In 2002, Georgina was appointed as a board member of PCI-Media Impact non-profit council to improve the condition of women living in underdeveloped countries. She holds a B.A. in Marketing from ITAM in Mexico City.
Carlos Flores
40 years of experience in HR and Quality functions. He is responsible for the acute procurement of bilingual professionals, the adequate liaison
of new organizations to a productive labor union, and the implementation and certification of systems such as ISO, Lean and 6-Sigma. Carlos became an expert in these programs while attending the Japanese Union of Scientists and Engineers (Tokyo), the Motorola University (Chicago)
and the American Quality and Productivity Center (Houston). He can lead multi-discipline teams using the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria
for Performance Excellence and is a member of the American Society for Quality. Carlos holds a B.A. in Business from Monterrey Tech
and an M.Sc. In Organizational Development from Pepperdine University.
Nicolas Castro
39 years of experience supervising the on site removal, crating, installation and operation in Mexico of industrial machinery and equipment sourced
in Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, Holland, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan and the USA. He is a savvy facilities engineer capable of calculating, designing, operating, managing and auditing industrial installations. Nicolas is a certified safety instructor at the federal and state level which enables him to train floor personnel in safety, security, healthy and firefighting practices. He joined Cosmex in 2004 to be in charge of assisting our clients to run safe and efficient facilities. He has a B.S. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and an MBA, both from Monterrey Tech.
Francisco Romero
He is a bilingual lawyer who has over 20 years of international experience. His practice includes mergers and acquisitions, financing, restructurings, corporate transactions, foreign investment and real estate. He has worked with Mexican, U.S., European (U.K., Swiss, German, French, Portuguese
and Spanish), Japanese and Latin American companies. His participation has been since the incubation of the projects, mostly leading the legal
teams working through the different stages of the transactions. Francisco graduated with honors from the Law School of the University of Chihuahua
and obtained a master’s degree in international business law at The American University in Washington, D.C.
Alfredo Perez
30 years of experience in Procurement and Maintenance. Alfredo is a hands-on engineer capable of screening potential suppliers among the thousands of manufacturing and metal fab shops existing in Mexico. Once we sign a due Non Disclosure Agreement to protect the Intellectual Property of our clients, he can validate the capabilities of suppliers, have them sign the NDA’s, discuss the particularities of drawings and specs, elucidate timely quotations and report them to our clients so they infer whether there is a fit or not; but he must know upfront what would be the profile and capabilities of the supplier you are searching to do business with in a long-term relationship. Alfredo is a certified Mechanical/Electrical engineer from the Autonomous Nuevo Leon State University.
Cosmex usually retains engineers and junior consultants who join as a dedicated team for specific projects and who may be hired or not by our clients once the assignment is over and if their skills and performance has been self-evident. We can hire those we do not have in a matter of days.
